Product Details

The Experienced Worker CSCS Card provides a route for individuals who have substantial on-site experience but are still in the process of completing their construction-related NVQ or SVQ qualification. It demonstrates that the holder possesses practical industry experience and is actively working towards full qualification to meet CSCS skilled status requirements.

Who Can Apply

This card is suitable for:

  • Construction professionals with at least one year of verifiable experience within the last three years.

  • Workers registered for an approved NVQ/SVQ Level 2 (SCQF Level 5 or above) qualification.

Applicants must also have passed the appropriate level of the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Test within the previous two years. The correct test level depends on the specific trade or occupation. You can confirm the right qualification and test level using the official CSCS Card Finder.

Card Validity

  • The Experienced Worker Card is valid for one year only.

  • It cannot be renewed, so applicants must complete their NVQ/SVQ qualification within that year.

  • Once qualified, they can apply for a Skilled Worker CSCS Card.

Proof of NVQ/SVQ Registration

When applying, you’ll need to provide evidence that you are officially registered on an NVQ/SVQ course. Your proof must include:

  • Applicant’s full name

  • Full title of the NVQ/SVQ qualification and its level

  • Date of registration (which must be within the last two years)

This evidence can usually be obtained from your training organisation or awarding body.

Overseas Qualifications

If your construction-related qualifications were awarded outside the UK and are not currently recognised by CSCS, you must contact Ecctis to obtain an Industry Skills Statement before applying.

Please note that all bookings processed through our platform include comprehensive application management, document verification, and priority handling services designed to simplify the overall process for individuals applying for a CSCS Card or scheduling their CITB Test. The total payable amount displayed at checkout covers both the official scheme charges and associated administrative costs necessary to complete your request efficiently. For transparency, the total charge includes the mandatory CSCS card application fee currently set by the official scheme at £36, plus a administrative and processing service charge which supports customer support, document assistance, and managed submission. Similarly, for CITB test bookings, the overall amount reflects the standard test cost of £22.50 plus administrative and processing service charge, confirmation handling, and rescheduling support where required. Our role is to assist candidates in completing their applications smoothly and accurately while ensuring compliance with current scheme requirements. This consolidated pricing structure allows applicants to benefit from managed processing without needing to engage directly with multiple official portals or documentation processes.
